Family and Child Services, a 125-year old social services organization that had outgrown its facility, approached 3DG at the end of 2005 with a tough question: “Would we fit into a 35,000 square foot, 7-story apartment building in a historic district, and if so, can we gut and outfit it to meet our needs, on a limited budget? All in less than a year?” By getting HITT Contracting involved at the outset, 3DG performed a detailed feasibility study, including cost estimate; turned around design and construction documents; secured a building permit including Historic Preservation approval; oversaw construction; and specified furnishings for the entire building - all on time and within the original budget.
