This house had been in the client’s family for generations, and she wished to recreate it to fit her 21st-century lifestyle. She turned to 3DG to carry out her vision.

The client wanted her home to convey urban sophistication and tranquility. To achieve the desired results, 3DG redesigned the second floor of the house, creating a master bedroom suite with closets containing built-in shelving. The travertine-clad master bath became a spa-like oasis; the luxurious shower features two shower heads and three spray nozzles. 3DG updated the sitting room by adding built-in cabinets, providing extra storage and concealing her washing machine and dryer.

3DG completely transformed the main floors as well. We flipped the front door swing to provide more privacy. Since the client loves to cook and entertain, 3DG opened the space between the kitchen and the dining room. Kitchen functionality was improved with the addition of an island, top-quality appliances, and cabinets that match the other built-ins throughout the house. We equipped the living room with custom-designed lighting to display the owner’s art collection. 3DG also covered the fireplace in limestone, created space for firewood, and built a display case for sculptures.

The house now reflects the owner’s lifestyle and gives her more storage and living space. She was so pleased with the millwork that she commissioned the millworker to build furniture for her new home.
