3DG has given a typical, historic Capitol Hill row home an atypical renovation. While preserving the outward charm in what was a dark and narrow late-19th Century row house, 3DG has created an amazing living environment in which light flows from top to bottom and front to back. Open rooms invite free movement, and space is used in exceptionally innovative ways that introduce a modern outlook to a dated structure.

The centerpiece of the design is a striking wood and stainless steel floating stair system installed in the core of the house, set against the dramatic backdrop of an earth-toned plaster architectural wall and double-height window system. Other features of the home include bamboo floors throughout, hidden access to new basement, sleek Poliform® kitchen cabinetry and custom paneled master bedroom closet.
