These clients started a do-it-yourself remodel job on their house, adding new moldings, stair treads, window casements, and a new kitchen. However, they wanted more improvements and knew they needed to work with an architect to complete the renovation. They hired 3DG to finish their basement, add fireplaces in the basement and first floor, and fix the railing and walls around the stairs.
3DGs plan for the basement included a stained MDF wet bar, wall panels, and entertainment space, as well as a guest bedroom suite with an enlarged bath and a washer and dryer. To give the clients the fireplaces they wanted, we selected a three-sided gas fireplace and created a spatial design that worked in both the basement and on the first floor.
3DG removed the walls and the stair railing, creating an open stair by incorporating a new, modern rail throughout. Finally, we worked with the clients to select paint colors and fabric for window treatments to ensure a cohesive design appropriate for the entire house. The client was so pleased with 3DGs work that they have retained the firm to renovate the master bathroom.
