Before 3DGs renovation, this 3,200-square-foot row house was hardly more than four moldy walls and a dirt floor. Abandoned for 15 years, it had collapsed from the top down, and was in such terrible condition it had to be secured by the National Guard. Our client, however, saw the potential in the space. He knew it could become the home he always wanted.
For 3DG, starting with a clean slate is an exciting challenge, requiring us to choose the best among seemingly endless possibilities. We ultimately developed a plan echoing the original homes in the area, but with modern twists, like a large kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, ample storage, and a breakfast nook. The house was wired to be a smart home, and the media room was designed for speakers throughout and a plasma television. The stunning third-floor master suite has vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, and a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, double vanities, shower, and a separate toilet.
3DG incorporated three outdoor decks: one off the kitchen, one off the master suite, and one on the roof, accessible from the third-floor deck. All are perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing at home. Additionally, we converted the basement into a separate one-bedroom, one-bath apartment unit that generates income for the owner.
